Trainer/Assessor, School of Allied Health and Human Services, IHNA
About Role:
The Trainer/Assessor at IHNA delivers high-quality training and support to students, fostering motivation and success. They collaborate with course coordinators to design, refine, and evaluate course materials, ensuring ongoing improvement. All efforts adhere strictly to standards and regulations set forth by ASQA, ANMAC, and other relevant regulatory bodies. This commitment to compliance and quality enhancement creates an environment conducive to effective learning and student achievement.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Provide academic and administrative support on a quarterly basis, to the Curriculum Development team for developing Curriculum resources.
Provide details and upload evidence in KH for Ongoing Industry Currency, Clinical Placement activities and Professional Development activities undertaken monthly.
Submit Monthly reports on: Measures taken to engage the students during the session through creative activities and programs to deliver qualitative learning experience.
Submit Monthly reports on: Assessment markings done in accordance with Health Careers Policy and Procedure and on constructive feedback provided on the assessments completed to encourage the students and support progression.
Provide monthly report on: Monthly student satisfaction surveys conducted and ensure the satisfaction rate is maintained at minimum 75%.
Provide monthly report on: Feedback collected from the facility as required by HC policy and procedure and submit it in Knowledge Hub.
Provide a monthly report on: Support activities provided for students with learning difficulty and special needs to ensure they complete the course adequately.
Attend monthly RTO and educators’ meetings.
Develop 2 new methodologies annually to enhance program delivery.
Key Selection Criteria:
Vocational competencies at least to the level of qualifications delivered
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116);
Must have evidence of recent VET and Industry PD activities;
In-depth understanding of ASQA regulatory guidelines and standards (highly desirable).
Desirable Experience and Skills
Knowledge of ASQA requirements, compliance, and training package frameworks
Experience in delivering VET programs in classrooms, online, and in workplace settings
Strong understanding of community services functions, including case planning, assessment, service coordination, and review
Ability to contextualise training for multicultural and diverse student groups
Familiarity with supervision of student professional placements

Commitment to vocational education and lifelong learning
Excellent communication, counselling, and facilitation skills
Ability to engage and support learners with varying educational backgrounds
Organised, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple responsibilities
A collaborative, student-focused approach with emphasis on cultural safety and inclusivity
Compliance Requirements
Applicants must hold or be willing to obtain:
National Police Clearance (valid within 6 months)
Working with Children Check (WWCC)
Proof of Australian work rights
Evidence of vocational competency, VET currency, and industry relevance
