About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Trainer and Assessor to join our team and deliver theHLT33115 Certificate III in Health Services Assistance. If you are passionate about education and motivated by helping others build a career in healthcare, this role is for you.
In this role, you will design and deliver engaging training, assess student progress, and help learners develop the skills and confidence they need to work in acute care settings. You will be part of a supportive team that values quality, integrity and student success.
Desired Skills and Experience
What You Will Do
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Plan and deliver training sessions using a mix of face-to-face, online, and simulation-based methods that keep learners engaged and help them understand key concepts.
Assess student knowledge and skills using approved tools and methods, making fair, evidence-based decisions that reflect each learner's competency.
Track student progress, provide timely and constructive feedback, and connect learners with additional support when needed.
Keep accurate records of training and assessment activities in line with IHNA's policies, compliance requirements and relevant standards.
Take part in assessment validation, moderation, and continuous improvement processes to maintain the quality of our programs.
Stay current in both your vocational field and your training practice, participating in relevant professional development activities.
What We Are Looking For
Essential Requirements
Vocational qualifications and industry experience at least equal to the level of the qualification being delivered (HLT33115 or higher).
TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment — or an equivalent credential recognised under the Standards for Registered Training Organisations.
Experience delivering VET programs in classroom, online, and workplace settings.
Evidence of recent professional development in both your industry and your training and assessment practice.
Desirable Experience
Familiarity with ASQA compliance requirements and training package frameworks.
Experience tailoring training for students from diverse cultural and educational backgrounds.
Experience supervising students on professional placement in clinical or healthcare settings.
