About the Program
HLT57921 Diploma of Anaesthetic Technology and Practices prepares graduates for specialist roles supporting anaesthetic and perioperative services. The program is delivered through simulation-rich training, integrated clinical placement, and close collaboration with industry partners.
The Role
As a Trainer/Assessor, you’ll deliver engaging, practice-informed training and assessment that helps students succeed in high-acuity clinical environments. You’ll work with our Course Coordinator and Curriculum team to continuously improve resources and assessment tools, ensuring delivery remains fully aligned with ASQA Standards and industry expectations.

Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality training and assessment for HLT57921 in accordance with the Training Package and IHNA policies.
Support student progression through mentoring, feedback, and inclusive learning strategies.
Engage with industry and maintain vocational and VET currency.
Participate in validation, moderation and continuous improvement activities.
Maintain accurate training/assessment and currency records in Knowledge Hub.
Essential Criteria
Vocational competency in Anaesthetic Technology / Perioperative practice at least to the level being delivered.
Current industry skills and knowledge demonstrated through recent clinical practice and/or ongoing CPD.
TAE40116 / TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or higher/equivalent).
Strong communication, digital literacy, and student-centred teaching approach.
Desirable
Working knowledge of ASQA Standards and evidence requirements.
Experience with VET assessment systems and online/blended delivery.
Prior involvement in validation/moderation or resource development.
Pre-Employment Checks
National Police Clearance (within 6 months or willingness to obtain).
Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
