We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate Trainer/Assessor to deliver the HLT47321 Certificate IV in Health Administration, preparing students for success in administrative roles across healthcare settings.

Job Description

Position Purpose

The Trainer and Assessor will be responsible for delivering and assessing units from the HLT47321 Certificate IV in Health Administration qualification. This course equips students with the skills required to manage administrative operations in health and medical environments, aligning with current industry standards and national vocational education frameworks.

The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining IHNA’s reputation for excellence in training delivery, student engagement and regulatory compliance.

Desired Skills and Experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Lesson Planning and Delivery: Prepare engaging lesson plans and deliver training through online, on-campus, and blended learning models
  • Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct competency-based assessments and evaluate outcomes using approved tools
  • Validation: Participate in validation of assessment resources and tools where required
  • Simulated and Practical Assessments: Conduct assessments in both simulated settings and practical placement environments
  • Student Support: Provide academic guidance and mentoring to ensure student success
  • Administration: Complete training documentation, student records, and compliance reports in line with IHNA policies

Essential Qualifications

  • HLT47321 Certificate IV in Health Administration  or an equivalent or higher qualification in health administration
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or its updated equivalent
  • Demonstrated evidence of current industry currency and VET professional development activities

Desirable Experience and Skills

  • Knowledge of ASQA guidelines, compliance standards and Training Package requirements
  • Experience delivering VET training in classroom, online, or workplace-based settings
  • Strong understanding of administrative functions within healthcare settings, such as medical reception, records, or health information management
  • Ability to contextualise training for diverse cohorts, including culturally and linguistically diverse students

Compliance Requirements

  • National Police Clearance (valid within the last 6 months)
  • Working with Children Check (WWCC)
  • Proof of work rights in Australia
  • Evidence of vocational competency, VET currency, and industry relevance
