We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate Trainer/Assessor to deliver CHC52021 Diploma of Community Services (Case Management) preparing students for success across a healthcare setting.
Job Description
Position Purpose
The Trainer and Assessor will deliver and assess the CHC52021 Diploma of Community Services (Case Management).
This program equips students with the knowledge and skills to provide case management and support to individuals, families, and communities, fostering independence and well-being while aligning with national VET quality frameworks.
The successful candidate will contribute to IHNA’s mission of excellence in education and training, ensuring students are job-ready and compliant with industry standards.
Desired Skills and Experience
Key Responsibilities
Lesson Planning and Delivery: Develop and deliver engaging classes via online, on-campus, and blended models
Assessment: Conduct competency-based assessments, both simulated and workplace-based, ensuring compliance with training package requirements
Validation: Participate in validation and moderation of assessment resources
Student Mentoring: Support learners academically and professionally, with attention to diverse cultural and linguistic needs
Industry Engagement: Facilitate student placements and ensure workplace learning outcomes are met
Compliance and Administration: Maintain accurate student records, reports, and training documentation in line with IHNA’s quality standards
Essential Qualifications
CHC52021 Diploma of Community Services (Case Management) or higher qualification in community services
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or updated equivalent)
At least two years of full-time relevant industry experience in community services/case management
Evidence of VET professional development, industry professional development and currency, as per the Community Work Australia Trainer Qualification Requirements
Desirable Experience and Skills
Knowledge of ASQA requirements, compliance, and training package frameworks
Experience in delivering VET programs in classrooms, online, and in workplace settings
Strong understanding of community services functions, including case planning, assessment, service coordination, and review
Ability to contextualise training for multicultural and diverse student groups
Familiarity with supervision of student professional placements

Excellent communication, counselling, and facilitation skills
Ability to engage and support learners with varying educational backgrounds
Organised, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple responsibilities

Compliance Requirements
Applicants must hold or be willing to obtain:
National Police Clearance (valid within 6 months)
Working with Children Check (WWCC)
Proof of Australian work rights
Evidence of vocational competency, VET currency, and industry relevance
