Job Tasks and Responsibilities
Deliver engaging, industry-relevant course sessions that meet learning objectives, ensuring clarity, active student engagement, and alignment with IHNA’s Training and Assessment Strategy.
Focus on creating an effective learning environment that supports student understanding and facilitates skill development.
Conduct and grade assessments in line with IHNA policies, providing timely and constructive feedback to students.
Support students with special needs by implementing appropriate educational adjustments and submitting monthly support reports.
Participate in educator meetings and contribute a minimum of two innovations annually via the Staff Portal.
Assist in the development and enhancement of curriculum resources to maintain relevance and quality.
Upload monthly evidence of participation in industry activities and ongoing professional development to the Knowledge Hub.
Prepare and submit comprehensive reports on student engagement, learning progress, and satisfaction levels.
Desired Skills and Experience
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Nursing
Current and unrestricted AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment -TAE40122 or TAE40116 Or TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, plus: Either TAELLN411 Address adult language, literacy and numeracy skills, or its successor, or TAELLN401A Address adult language, literacy and numeracy skills, and Either TAEASS502 Design and Develop Assessment Tools, or its successor, or TAEASS502A Design and Develop Assessment Tools, or TAEASS502B Design and Develop Assessment Tool Or diploma or higher level qualification in adult education.
Vocational competencies relevant to the qualifications delivered
Additional credentials or qualifications in adult education or VET teaching are desirable

National Police Clearance (valid within the last 6 months) or willing to apply for one
Working with Children Check or willing to apply for one
Desired Skills:
Experience in student assessment, including simulated and clinical evaluations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students and staff effectively.
Ability to provide constructive feedback and mentor students.
Proficiency in using digital learning platforms and student management systems.
Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle academic responsibilities efficiently.
Commitment to professional development and staying updated with industry standards.
Experience:
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse
At least 1 year of experience as a Nurse Educator (highly desirable)
Must maintain vocational currency and provide ongoing evidence of industry engagement
