About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Lecturer (Level B) in Social Work to join the School of Social Work at the Institute of Health & Management (IHM).
In this role, you will contribute to high-quality teaching, curriculum development, student supervision, and scholarship within the Bachelor of Social Work program. You will play an important role in delivering engaging, practice-informed learning experiences while supporting student success and professional readiness.
As an academic at Lecturer Level B, you will contribute to teaching excellence, assessment, academic governance, and research/scholarship activities, while working collaboratively within a collegial academic team.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality teaching and learning activities across undergraduate Social Work units, including lectures, tutorials, workshops, and online delivery.
Contribute to curriculum design, review, and continuous improvement in line with AASW accreditation requirements and higher education standards.
Develop and assess student learning using inclusive, authentic, and evidence-based assessment practices.
Provide academic support, consultation, and supervision to students from diverse backgrounds.
Participate in moderation, assessment review, and academic quality assurance processes.
Contribute to scholarship, research, or practice-based inquiry aligned with Social Work education and professional practice.
Engage in professional and industry activities that strengthen links between teaching, research, and contemporary Social Work practice.
Participate in academic governance, committees, and administrative responsibilities as required.

Desired Skills and Experience
Qualifications:
• Masters’ qualification in the relevant discipline or equivalent
• Relevant teaching qualifications in higher education are highly recommended.
• Advance HE Fellowship is desirable
• Professional Membership in AASW.
Experience:
• Prior experience in a relevant discipline is mandatory.
• Previous teaching experience, preferably in higher education is desirable.
• Relevant experience in curriculum quality and reviews in a tertiary environment.
• Should have a Valid National Police check and Working with Children Check (WCC) or should be willing to apply and provide both
