Job Description
The Role
We are seeking a Human Resource Manager to lead HR strategy, employee relations, and workforce development across IHM Australia. This role will partner with executive and senior leaders to deliver best-practice HR frameworks, ensure Fair Work compliance, and strengthen organisational culture in a regulated education environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end HR operations
Drive HR strategy, workforce planning, and organisational development
Provide expert advice on Fair Work Act, NES, Awards, and industrial relations
Coach and support leaders in performance management, underperformance, and capability development
Manage employee relations, performance management, grievances, and investigations
Lead talent acquisition, onboarding, and retention strategies
Ensure compliance with TEQSA, higher education standards, and internal policies
Manage HR systems, reporting, and people analytics
Partner with leaders on change management and capability uplift
Desired Skills and Experience
Qualifications
Masters in Human Resources, Business, or related discipline
7–10+ years’ HR leadership experience
Strong expertise in Australian employment law & industrial relations
Proven experience in higher education, healthcare, or regulated sectors
Demonstrated success in employee relations, policy development, and compliance
Excellent stakeholder management and leadership capability
