Job Description
About the Role:
The Placement Coordinator is responsible for efficiently managing student work placements, ensuring alignment with academic schedules and compliance with regulatory standards. This includes identifying and formalizing agreements with placement providers in accordance with ANMAC, TEQSA, and industry requirements. The role is essential in facilitating meaningful and compliant practical learning experiences for students.
Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
Student Placement Success: Ensure that 90% of students are placed in clinical settings within six months of course completion.
Partnership Development & Retention: Establish new placement agreements each year while maintaining a 90% retention rate of current partners.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure full (100%) compliance with clinical placement regulations and relevant industry standards.
Student & Stakeholder Satisfaction: Achieve a minimum of 4.5/5 in student placement satisfaction scores and 85% stakeholder approval during quarterly reviews.
Pre-Placement Support & Matching: Provide pre-placement guidance to at least 95% of students, maintaining 90% satisfaction rates and 98% accuracy in placement suitability assessments.
Desired Skills and Experience
Qualifications & Experience:
A Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in Nursing
A minimum of 2 years' experience in student placements, healthcare coordination, or academic administration.
Registered Nurse with current and unrestricted AHPRA registration.
Sound understanding of ANMAC, TEQSA, and other compliance frameworks relevant to clinical placements.
Proven ability to build and manage strong partnerships with stakeholders, supported by excellent organizational and communication skills.
Skills & Knowledge:
Exceptional organizational and interpersonal communication skills.
Working knowledge of regulatory requirements including TEQSA, and ISO standards.
Strong understanding of industry standards and best practices in student placement.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and database management.
Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
