Job Description
About Role:
As a Lecturer, you will deliver engaging academic content, facilitate simulation-based clinical training, manage lab operations and equipment, coordinate placements, and assess student competencies. The role also involves contributing to curriculum development, assessment, academic administration, and engaging in ongoing research and professional development.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure 90% student clinical competency before placement.
Conduct and document at least 3 simulation sessions per cohort.
Maintain high standards of safety, hygiene, and equipment functionality.
Collaborate with academic and operational staff to optimize lab operations and cost-efficiency.
Desired Skills and Experience
Qualifications & Experience:
Essential:
Master’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Nursing, Health Sciences, Biomedicine).
Clinical experience in nursing or related field.
Experience in simulation-based education and teaching in higher education.
Registration with appropriate professional body.
Desirable:
Teaching qualification in higher education.
Fellowship with Advance HE.
Familiarity with regulatory standards (e.g., TEQSA, NPAAC).
Key Skills & Competencies
Strong pedagogical and adult learning knowledge.
Proficient in simulation technologies and Learning Management Systems (e.g., Canvas).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a diverse and student-centred environment.
Analytical, problem-solving, and curriculum development skills.
Understanding of the Higher Education Standards Framework and relevant legislation.
