Job Description

About Role:

Student Support Officer encompasses a range of responsibilities focused on providing assistance, guidance, and support to students throughout their academic journey. The incumbent will play a vital role in fostering a positive learning environment by providing comprehensive support services to students.

Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Ensure prompt and effective communication with students to address their queries and concerns.
  • Develop and implement initiatives to enhance the overall student experience and satisfaction.
  • Monitor academic progress, identify at-risk students, and collaborate with academic staff for intervention.
  • Develop and implement strategies to address the mental health and well-being of students, ensuring access to appropriate resources
  • Implement strategies to identify and support at-risk students, contributing to improved retention and academic outcomes
  • Streamline administrative processes to ensure efficiency and accuracy in managing student records.


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., education, counseling, social work, psychology)
  • Previous experience in a similar role within an educational or academic environment is often preferred
  • Experience in managing administrative tasks or student records might be required or beneficial, depending on the specific responsibilities of the role
  • Expertise in academic advising, personal development, mental health, or well-being.

Desired Skills and Experience

 

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Knowledge about Microsoft Office such as Word, Excel etc. and other computer skills.
  • Demonstrate experience of contributing to a team environment
  • Proven skills in systemic filing and documentation procedure.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to liaise with students and colleagues.
  • Ability to priorities workload and meet deadlines
  • Proven ability to work independently.

Benefits:

  • Salary Ranges from Rs20,000 to Rs25,000 per month based on relevant experience.
