Job Description
About the Role:
Lecturers are responsible for developing and delivering curriculum, engaging in scholarly activities, and contributing to the overall academic environment of the School of Social Work. In addition, they will participate in professional activities, contribute to the governance and collegial life of the institution, and foster strong industry and community connections. This role involves mentoring students and contributing to the development of the Social Work program. The position requires a commitment to teaching excellence, a passion for student success, and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Delivering engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions to foster student learning.
Ensuring fair and effective assessment practices.
Continuously enhancing teaching and clinical expertise.
Contributing to curriculum development and improvement.
Creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Supporting academic and administrative operations, including compliance and student services.
Qualifications:
Masters’ qualification in Social Work or relevant discipline.
Relevant teaching qualifications in higher education are highly recommended.
Advance HE Fellowship is desirable
Experience:
AASW Membership Prior experience in a relevant discipline is mandatory.
Previous teaching experience, preferably in higher education is desirable.
Relevant experience in curriculum quality and reviews in a tertiary environment.
