Job Description

IHM Australia, an independent Higher Education provider, is seeking a highly experienced Student Recruitment Officer for our new School of American Education. This exciting role is based in our India office and offers a competitive salary with an attractive incentive plan.

About the Role

You will be responsible for recruiting international students in India for our innovative Master's program in partnership with Arizona State University, USA. This program allows students to study online for 6 months in India before completing their 1.5-year Master's degree on campus in the USA.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective student recruitment strategies for USA education programs
  • Organise and participate in recruitment events, including education fairs and school visits
  • Provide comprehensive counselling to prospective students and their families about USA education opportunities
  • Assist students with the application process for US universities and F-1 visa applications
  • Manage and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including education agents and partner institutions
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to inform recruitment strategies
  • Achieve set recruitment targets and contribute to the growth of our international student enrolment

Desired Skills and Experience

Qualifications and Experience

  • Proven experience in international student recruitment, specifically for US education programs
  • In-depth knowledge of the F-1 student visa process and US education system
  • Strong understanding of the Indian education market and student visa processes
  • Experience in counselling students on US higher education options and application procedures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to travel within India for recruitment activities

Required Knowledge

  • Thorough understanding of the US higher education system, including admissions requirements and application procedures.
  • Familiarity with standardised tests required for US university admissions (e.g., TOEFL, IELTS, SAT, ACT, GRE, GMAT).
 
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the F-1 visa application process, including eligibility requirements and application steps.
  • Understanding of Optional Practical Training (OPT) and STEM OPT extension opportunities for international students in the USA.
