About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Tutor for our School of Nursing at IHM. The ideal candidate will assist students in grasping nursing concepts, conducting practical demonstrations, and facilitating learning activities. Responsibilities include providing academic support, mentoring, and fostering a positive learning environment. Candidates should possess a nursing degree, teaching experience, and excellent communication skills. Passion for nursing education and a commitment to student success are essential. Desired Skills and Experience

Expectations:

  • Effectively implement IHM’s student retention strategy to ensure enhanced student experience. 
  • Arrive for work at least 15 minutes prior to the work commencement time. 
  • Complete professional development and training sessions that are scheduled on the training plan, within the specified time frame and provide records of the same to Human Resources. 
  • Keep professional boundaries while communicating with students, staff, and other stakeholders.
  • Submit monthly performance reports and attend monthly performance meetings with the manager. 
  • Receive and accept revised position descriptions for the role on an annual basis or as per changes proposed by regulatory/statutory requirements/guidelines.

Qualification:

  • Masters’ qualification in the relevant discipline or equivalent.
  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree in nursing

Experience:

  • Relevant’ experience in Tutoring
  • Substantial clinical experience in the healthcare field
